Fabienne Pourtein

Advisor on cultural engineering, Paris and French Overseas Territories

Holder of a master's degree in ethnopsychology (University of Paris V Sorbonne) and a DESS in cultural project management (University of Lyon 2 Lumière), Fabienne is, throughout her professional career, production and distribution manager, then project manager in cultural engineering, consultant (strategic studies, support for European projects) and trainer in different sectors of the cultural field: performing arts, audiovisual, visual arts. She has developed a specific knowledge of the French Overseas Territories, first by working in Guadeloupe from 1996 to 2004 (in charge of relations with the public and programming advice at the Artchipel - national stage of Guadeloupe, then cultural consultant at the Projecsion Agency she helped to found). Back in Paris, she founded the Maison des Suds, and continues her professional relations with the Caribbean region, both with local authorities (regional cultural development plan for French Guiana, participation in the strategic diagnosis of Martinique for the 2014-2020 operational programme) and with artists and cultural actors (setting up and developing projects, training in setting up European projects, technical assistance for a European Interreg Caribbean project, etc.). Nourished by ten years of partnership with the Relais Culture Europe (training, member of the network of regional poles Culture Europe, i-team programme, project manager), she now collaborates with the RCE to facilitate access to European debates and tools in the cultural, creative and media sectors of the French Overseas Territories.
